The West Coast Optimization Meeting (WCOM) is an one-day, single-track gathering of researchers in optimization and its applications across the West Coast. WCOM Fall 2026 is hosted at the University of Washington Tacoma and organized by Julia Eaton and Aleksandr Aravkin.
The meeting brings together faculty, postdocs, and students for a day of talks spanning optimization theory, algorithms, and applications, with ample time for discussion over coffee and lunch. Please plan to stay for the day.
The meeting is sponsored by the University of Washington Tacoma School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, University of Washington Applied Mathematics Department, and the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences.
